Some of the Chromebooks checked out from the MATC Libraries are already WIFI enabled, so Internet access is built-in, and you don't need a hotspot. You can tell if you have one of these Chromebooks by looking at the case.

  • Open the Chromebook. It should automatically turn on, but if it doesn't, you'll just need to plug it in, so it can start charging.
  • Once the Chromebook is on, you'll see the list of available networks.
  • Click US Cellular.

  • A window will pop-up showing the US Cellular network information.
  • Click “Connect” in the upper right corner to connect to the US Cellular network.
  • Now you should be connected to the US Cellular network.
  • Once connected, you can click the "X" in the upper, right corner to close this window.
  • Then click "Done" and you should be able to sign in to your Chromebook.

  • If you ever need to check to see which network is connected, or to change the network, find the Internet icon in the bottom, right corner of the screen, next to the clock and battery.
