I am having a very difficult time with Pre-Algebra,what can I do to get a better understanding?

We'd recommend you do the following:

  1. Get help in the Academic Support Centers. If you are at the Milwaukee Campus, there is a Math Center just for help with your math questions.  You can view the locations and hours at http://www.matc.edu/student/resources/asc.cfm
  2. Sign up for Tutoring.  There are many excellent tutors available.  Click here for info... http://www.matc.edu/student/resources/Tutoring/index.cfm
  3. Form a study group.  The best way to learn is to help other students.
  4. Check out another algebra book in the Library.  Sometimes reading other material about your topic can help you understand the topic better.
