I'm trying to study in this library(downtown). I was just wondering if you could walk around and let others know to be considerate for other students. Obviously I don't want to cause a big scene but I have already moved twice to move away from the noise.

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

We do make an effort to maintain an atmosphere conducive to study; please accept my apologies for any inconvenience you have experienced.  I will remind library staff to continue working to make the library an environment that supports study and learning.

Please also note that there are deisgnated quiet study areas in each of the MATC Libraries.  Please ask a library staff member about the location in the library you are using.  In addition, please don't hesitate to ask library staff to approach any library user who is making excessive noise, so that the situation can be addressed.

Best regards,

Michelle Harrell, Library Manager
