Q

How do I place a textbook on reserve in the library?

I teach at MATC and have discovered that students have difficulties securing textbooks for classes due to the bookstore not having enough ordered or not having financial aid to cover the cost. I would like to place a copy in reserve for students to use to avoid problems caused by these problems but unsure how to do this.

Answer

Hi Vicki,

We have an online form to place items on reserve. From the library home page, book.matc.edu, go to the Faculty/Staff tab in the middle of the page. There you will see a link to the form "Put an Item on Course Reserve." This form is used by all 4 campus libraries.

You can fill the form out from wherever you are, and then drop the item off at the campus library.

Let us know if you need further assistance,
